Welcome to the homepage of the „Edinburgh - Regatta". This traditional race has taken place since 1968. It is the only sailing race in Germany where you have to sail for 420 nm crossing the open sea. It goes from Helgoland to Edinburgh/Scotland, every 2nd year starting on Whitmonday.

The basic regulations are the guidelines of the ORC in addition with the special regulations of the "Deutscher Seglerverband" (German Sailing Association). This race is classified into the 2nd category.
